“The Delicious Space Between Me and You- I MEAN FOOD!” is a series of original 30-color pencil drawings, ceramic pigeons, ceramic chimes, and photographs that were available to view @rootscafeart and purchase from my shop.

This project was a quick turnaround, usually, I spend years working towards a project. This began in October 2023, when I connected with Marisa about doing a show there. My goal for this project was to be more free, fun, and experimental with the food theme. To really just let things flow out and not be too attached to an emotionally overpowering conceptual vision. I wanted to play with the space between ourselves and food. The fleeting moment of anticipation, wonder, and emotions when we are confronted with something before us. The artwork scenes are intimate and a bit isolated in the feelings invoked by each environment. Thinking about the connection and anticipation when we see someone- maybe again or for the first time, but somehow make that related to food. Ha!
